Jack Petchey Achievement Award Winner

Thai Boxing Community Centre are proud to present their first nominated winner, Gavin Levy, for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme. Gavin was nominated by his peers and the staff at TBCC for his outstanding effort, consistency and hard work. He also commits himself not only to learning Thai Boxing but also helping others learn the art by being a voluntary assistant instructor. Gavin’s hard work has enabled him to participate in competitions and do extremely well in them.

We’ve only just been successful with our application to be a part of this scheme and we are very excited about our involvement with it. We see the wonderful way in which it encourages us to celebrate and recognise our young people’s achievements no matter how small they may be but this is important in helping to keep young people motivated.

The winner is presented with a £200 cheque, certificate and badge. They then can choose what they want the money to be spent on to benefit the young people of TBCC ( they select from their wish list or anything else). They later in the year get the opportunity to attend an area presentation award event to receive a medal and meet the founder Jack Petchey himself and other winners. This award is done three times a year so lookout for our next winner. Gavin chose to has new thai pads Congratulations Gavin –keep up the good work!
